About
Alexandra Johnson is the owner of Journey in Counseling who begins by understanding where each client is currently and the challenges they are facing. Alexandra believes that therapy is a collaborative process—one where the client’s story, strengths, and goals guide the work they do together. Alexandra works with individuals struggling with unexpected life changes, redefining yourself, and life identity. Have you been feeling lost, unmotivated and discouraged? Do you struggle with depression, anxiety, or adjusting to changes in your life current circumstances? Do you currently feel like you are not functioning at your best? No matter the struggle or turns life has given you we will work to shift unhelpful patterns, build healthier coping skills, and create new narratives that empower you to move forward with clarity and confidence. Alexandra believes that change is possible. The therapeutic relationship is her top priority in fostering meaningful growth. Alexandra's role is to offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where growth can happen at each client’s own pace. Alexandra utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques as well as Narrative Therapy strategies to help reshape perspectives and empower clients to take charge of their lives.
