About Anna | She/her

Dr. Anna Jetton is a licensed clinical psychologist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a private practice in Woodland Park, CO, where she welcomes all clients seeking more growth and fulfillment in their lives. She helps her clients take a closer look at their inner pain points that often stem from various traumatic experiences that present themselves in daily living. Dr. Jetton brings keen awareness to the healing power of the mind-body connection and incorporates this perspective specifically in her work with those who have experienced trauma in her use of EMDR. She is also particularly committed to women’s health and provides validation and support for a variety of concerns women face each day including perinatal mental health, family planning, parenting concerns, body image, and stress management. Dr. Jetton typically focuses on the whole person and not just the mind. In therapy she often utilizes a mindfulness-based approach to change, while focusing on personal strengths and self-compassion to promote healing. Overall, her work is grounded in evidence-based practices of Western psychology, while being heavily influenced by practices that are more characteristic of Eastern philosophies. Interventions involving mindfulness, acceptance, self-compassion, body work, nutritional psychology, and spiritual awareness can all be quite validating, liberating, and therapeutic because they address the whole person, not just the mind.

Message to clients

What if you woke up tomorrow and found yourself happier, healthier, and more connected to the world around you? Life can certainly leave us feeling disconnected and struggling to find happiness on our own. It does not have to be that way. Maybe you feel like you know where you want to go but are not certain how to start. I understand. Maybe anxiety has taken over at the worst possible moments, or overwhelming sadness has left you unable to get on with your day. I see you. Pain touches us all in a deeply personal way. And it provides connection by way of compassion, understanding, and validation. If you are here, you might be wondering if there is another, more gratifying way to live your life. Perhaps you are ready to put your past behind you. Or it could be you want to take steps toward reconnecting with your loved ones and with yourself. Maybe you are seeking more direction to your life’s purpose. Or possibly you just want the pain to stop. No matter where you are on your path, I am here to walk beside you. I am committed to helping you find a path in life that will resonate with you, your goals, and your values in a safe, supportive space to allow for healing, growth, and transformation. I invite you to reach out and take your next step toward reaching your growth peak.

Anna is incredibly professional, ethical, and diligent about her work as a therapist. She works hard at improving skills in newly learned modalities (such as EMDR). She has wonderful case conceptualization skills and absorbs and applies new skills very effectively. She would be a great addition to any therapy team!
