Carly is an integrative and holistic therapist specializing in anxiety, trauma, and nervous system regulation. She offers approaches to therapy that are dynamic and relational in nature. Honoring that the brain-body system is wired for social connection. This includes integrating a variety of modalities and perspectives, including bringing awareness to the unconscious daily activity of the autonomic nervous system and how these bodily states impact people's thoughts and emotions. She has been in practice for over 10 years and in addition to her formal education she has completed several courses/certifications some of which include trauma counseling, internal family systems, grief work, and the theory and practice of embodiment.
Hi there! What if both mental wellness and mental distress are experiences along a spectrum and this is part of what makes us human? You are not alone as we all travel these experiences that make up our mental health, both in times of flourishing and times of challenge. Reasons for seeking support vary, although daily distress in its subtle or obvious forms can create feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, depletion, or at times a sense of shut down. As our bodies respond to this distress it can result in feeling stuck, alone, disconnected from self, disconnected from satisfying relationships with others, or a sense that things might never change. We all deserve a place to talk with someone who we know will not judge or shame us, but instead walk along side us, holding hope and strength until we we can hold it ourselves.
