About Catherine | She/her

Catherine is a licensed counselor in Florida who understands the power of breaking cycles-both personal and generational. As an Afro-Caribbean, INFJ, and cis woman, she has navigated her own journey of healing to become an empathetic mother and embrace her authentic self. Catherine is passionate about helping BIPoC, neurodiverse, and ENM individuals who feel stuck in old patterns or have been told that therapy is only 'para los locos.' She provides a compassionate and empowering space for clients to rewrite their stories and reclaim their peace.

Message to clients

There are so many ideas that you’ve probably lived with growing up that don’t work for you anymore. Ways of doing things that make it hard to get things done, live in "survival mode", prioritize other people, or live the same day everyday. You've been expected to just move on from some hard times or hard losses. Or maybe you’ve always been "the “Perfect One”, the “Black Sheep” or the “Silent One” in your family. The struggles & labels that you've lived with may make it hard to truly know who YOU are... But I promise you, you don't have to live life with negative thoughts, numbness, or expectation. You deserve peace and mindfulness. You should speak to a counselor who recognizes that your blood is rich with ancestry, heritage, triumphs and history. Also one that knows that you are more than just a role (i.e., parent, sibling or partner). We only have ONE life and so you deserve to make it an authentic one. Let's talk about how to live mindfully, no matter what you have survived.

Cathy has genuine care for her clients and this profession. She is creative welcoming and warm. There are those who only speak about the surface and I have not found a depth she can't reach. If your wanting to address the parts of yourself we are often too scared to speak about... She will make it safe and productive to understand and grow.

—Fernando Campos, LMFT

Catherine is positive-thinking, solution-oriented therapist. She looks at all aspects of the client's situation and has open discussions that are welcoming and future-focused. She works well with all persons in the human race but has a niche working with women. She is an all-around great therapist!
