Chris is a therapist and poet currently living in Philadelphia, PA. They are level 1 trained in internal family systems and combine the modality with focusing, mindfulness, and somatic practices. They believe this approach is most helpful for understanding oneself, living an authentic and meaningful life, and breaking away from the harmful conditionings of the dominant systems we live in. Chris specializes in working with trauma, grief, neurodiversity, queerness, relationships issues, and chronic illness. They enjoy working with teenagers, young adults, adults, elders, and especially with anyone looking to slow down and learn to listen with care and curiosity to their internal world.
Being a human is difficult. Life is stressful and overwhelming. Things just don’t seem to make sense. And sometimes it feels like it’s your fault for not being able to keep up with it. You try and put effort in, but the same patterns keep repeating and you find yourself again demoralized, hurt, and confused. Why can’t you get it right? The good news is that there’s nothing wrong with you. These are normal reactions to the way things are. The other good news is that these patterns can be changed. In the therapy, we learn to slow things down to be with the stress and overwhelm, the hurt and confusion, and the big life questions that keep coming back. We can bring compassion and validation to the tender areas that need healing and rest. As we spend time with these tender areas, the stories of your life unfold. You begin to understand the wisdom carried within and where it is trying to guide you. Using compassion, creativity, and curiosity, I can support you in arriving to a sense of clarity with this. I will help you feel what needs to be felt for you to be your most authentic self.

Chris is one of the most present, compassionate, and open-hearted therapists and individuals I know. With a combination of clinical skill, wisdom, insight, and intuition, they are able to support the exploration of your inner world’s intricacies so that you can begin to embody the most authentic version of yourself. Their clarity and calmness also contributes to a therapeutic process where deeply grounded and meaningful therapeutic work can flourish.
I have immense trust in Chris as an ethical and competent professional as well as an incredible human being. Chris possesses a combination of embodied presence, clinical proficiency, and cultural sensitivity that is hard to find in a therapist. Their training in IFS, diversity of experience, and understanding of the healing process is exemplary.
Chris brings curiosity, humor, and specialized skills to their work and has a gift for making their clients feel safe and seen. They offer a nurturing and affirming space for folks to unpack and explore their struggles through a lens of compassion and understanding. I highly recommend them for those that identify as creatives and artists, spiritually curious, sensitive, and/or queer. Chris is a gem!
