About Erin | She/her

Erin is Licensed Clinical Social Worker and sees clients throughout CA. Erin is dedicated to helping people just like you: women who are struggling with painful past experiences and relationships, who want to figure out what’s holding them back from living the life they want to live. Erin works with women who have experienced trauma, former foster youth, adoptees, and people pleasers. We will identify your concerns, explore your childhood experiences, attachment style, and relationship dynamics, in order to understand and change the patterns and behavior that are leaving you feeling anxious, depressed, disconnected, or stuck. We will also look at the intersections of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and socioeconomic status. Your mental health concerns cannot be separated from the broader social, cultural, and systemic contexts in which they arise. We will work collaboratively to move through the pain, shame, and self-doubt you may have felt. I use Brainspotting to help access and process unresolved emotions and experiences at a deeper level, leading to greater healing and integration. Brainspotting aims to tap into the brain's natural ability to heal itself by utilizing the visual field and bilateral stimulation to facilitate the processing of trauma and promote psychological well-being. We will work together to help you heal from past trauma, cope with distressing emotions, communicate your needs and set boundaries, and feel more satisfied in relationships.

Message to clients

You’ve listened to all the podcasts, read all the self-help books, done talk therapy, and maybe even EMDR, but you are still feeling stuck and struggling with daily life. You want to shift and go deeper in therapy and make lasting changes. You want to feel and function better and have that weight lifted off of your shoulders. I use a brain-body based modality called Brainspotting to help my clients heal from difficult experiences, trauma, and negative cognitions such as "I'm unlovable, I'm not good enough, or I deserve bad things." Brainspotting may be for you if you: want to address experiences that have left you feeling shame, abandonment, and disconnection, have experienced a difficult childhood or trauma, whether ongoing or one time, but do not want to share all the details of your experience, have difficulty in relationships, whether with a partner, family member, or professional relationships, and want to increase confidence, break old patterns, and stop the negative self-talk. Reach out if you'd like to experience faster processing and healing. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we're a good fit.
