Heather is a trauma therapist specialize in working with survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child abuse, and other types of trauma. She is passionate about helping clients regain a sense of safety and drastically decrease the lasting effects of trauma in their life.
Welcome! I’m so happy you stopped by. You may have noticed that even the gentlest reminders of traumatic events can trigger overwhelming feelings, such as panic, rage, and dissociation. You may be feeling an impact on your self-worth and ability to fully trust others. I can help with that! As a trauma therapist, I incorporate specialized therapies such as EMDR to help detach these emotions from the trauma memory, essentially taking its power away.

Heather is the kind of therapist that I wish all therapy newcomers could have, and that many therapy returnees wish they'd had from the start! She is the perfect blend of keen insight, practical solutions, deep compassion, and a sprinkle of calling you on your BS. During therapy, she is committed to helping her clients increase self-awareness, develop new coping skills, and heal from trauma. Bottom line - if you're looking for a therapist who is inclusive, genuine, and empowering, Heather checks all the boxes.
Heather is a warm and compassionate therapist, walking alongside her clients to provide effective and supportive therapy. She will always go the extra mile to understand, treating the client as the ultimate expert in their own life. She uses a combination of evidence based talk therapy and EMDR therapy to assist her clients in discovering the roots of their past trauma and process in a safe environment.
Heather has strong experience working with trauma, specifically with sexual abuse and domestic violence. She is warm, welcoming and dedicated to creating a safe space for healing.
