About
It can be challenging to ask for help at times but in the end, you are the one suffering if you don't have any support. The counseling relationship can be that support you need. In your sessions with Jacquline, she tries to create a safe and welcoming environment free from judgements. She will allow you the space to share where you have been and where you would like to go. Together you will determine the methods used in counseling to help you get there depending on your needs and concerns. In her past clinical experiences, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including outpatient community care, long-term residential, short-term residential for addiction, and with active duty on a military base. She is proud and grateful to have worked with so many different individuals ranging in ages, backgrounds, and presenting concerns. Each individual that she has worked with has helped to shape her as a provider. Her approach is eclectic, meaning that she combines and pull from many different counseling approaches. She may utilize techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, someone presenting with mood changes may respond better to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In cases of trauma, she may utilize CBT, DBT, Relational, and Narrative. Often times Motivational-Interviewing skills and Harm Reduction may be helpful with addiction.
