Message to clients

Hey! Welcome. I'm glad you're here. I believe that everyone, given the right circumstances, have within them the ability to heal and be well. I approach the therapist role as less of an “expert” and more of a capable emotional doula, accompanying you in your process of growth. With a warm smile and a ready laugh, I will be a mirror for the parts of you that are already resilient, healthy, and determined to thrive. I feel honored anytime someone chooses to share their story with me. It is my joy to support folks around creating changes towards greater wholeness and integration in their lives. I especially love supporting artists, creatives, and queer, trans, and neurodivergent folk. I am committed to the ongoing integration of abolitionism and decoloniality into my practice. Some specific theories/orientations that inform my work: Intersectional feminist values (including ongoing personal praxis in anticapitalist, abolitionist, and decolonial frameworks) Embodied & somatic approaches to healing, including ancestor work, inner child work, and expressive arts practices Polyvagal theory & the neurobiology of trauma Lifelong study of and engagement with the creative process Internal Family Systems (IFS) "Parts Work" The Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families (ACOA) tradition Relational therapy
