Lauren Choe is a trained doula and Certified Perinatal Mental Health specialist (PMH-C). She received extensive training in Narrative Therapy through Narrative Initiative San Diego's ("NISD") MFT residency program, and she volunteers with NISD as a supervisor. Lauren applies her specialized training and years of experience to preventing and treating perinatal depression and anxiety in pregnant persons and new parents. She also supports clients through the identity shifts and relationship challenges that often accompany pregnancy and new parenthood.
Are you adjusting to pregnancy or life with a new baby and looking for support? Are you concerned about your upcoming postpartum experience and hoping to prevent anxiety or depression? As a licensed marriage and family therapist with advanced certification in perinatal mental health, I support individuals and couples encountering anxiety, depression, identity transformation and relationship changes that can occur with pregnancy and new parenthood. I also work with adults experiencing relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and life transitions including career changes.
