About Leifennie | She/her

Leifennie is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Registered Clinical Counsellor. Her therapeutic style focuses on equipping you with the skills to feel anchored in your own capability to self-lead so you can increase your capacity to attend to the different parts of you. She aims to help you develop the relational skills in making choices that foster connected and meaningful relationships. To achieve this, she integrates and draw from various therapeutic modalities such as mindfulness-based therapy, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Common concerns that she works with include childhood trauma, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, betrayal, infidelity, parenting challenges, cultural identity, grief, anxiety, depression, stress, and existential questions. Leifennie is also a parent to a vibrant young child, a role that has brought profound meaning to her life while illuminating areas within herself that require attention and nurturing. This experience inspires her to create a nurturing environment where both her child and her clients feel cherished, supported, and empowered to explore their full potential.

Message to clients

I work with clients to explore, understand, and redefine early childhood experiences that continue to shape their present behavior. Together, we identify and dismantle limiting beliefs that hinder connection and growth, allowing us to embody new truths that foster a compassionate relationship with ourselves and others. As we work toward clarity and authenticity, we expand our capacity for emotional attunement and embrace the complexities of being human. We’ll foster a safe space for conflicting thoughts and feelings to be heard and validated, creating an environment where creative perspectives and decisions can emerge. We’ll shift your inner dialogue to reflect greater loving-kindness and compassion. We’ll discuss the impacts of significant life changes and how to navigate them. Additionally, we’ll harmonize the influences of personal culture with the dominant culture. My goal is to support you in moving from awareness to actionable strategies that you can apply in your life. Too often, we find ourselves swept into storylines that aren't truly ours—society's expectations, norms, and rules which overshadow our authenticity and inner fulfillment. I believe you are the author of your story so let's write a story that resonates with your soul in your own words and on your own terms.

Leifennie is truly one of the most remarkable therapists I have met. Every time we are in group supervision together, I learn something about them. They are incredibly warm and soft in their approach. I appreciate their generosity when it comes to care for the clients we have the honor of serving. Lei's craft is also filled with rich interweavements of questions which allow you to dive deeper into your being.
