Dr. Liz Fleagle is a licensed clinical health psychologist who specializes in helping adults navigate the emotional and psychological impact of serious medical conditions, chronic pain, cancer, and life-altering health stressors. She brings extensive experience from academic medical centers into private practice, offering thoughtful, evidence-based care that integrates mind and body.
Dr. Fleagle completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Spalding University. She went on to complete an APA-accredited internship at Henry Ford Health System and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology through Michigan State University’s Consortium for Advanced Psychological Training. Over the course of her career, she has worked in transplant medicine, oncology, and integrated medical settings, providing psychotherapy, conducting comprehensive health-related evaluations, provider wellness programs, and clinical research endeavors. She has published, and presented nationally and internationally on these topics and served on national organizations.
In private practice, Dr. Fleagle works with adults coping with cancer, chronic illness, chronic pain, medical trauma, caregiver stress, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression related to health challenges. Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in research-supported treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.
Dr. Fleagle has completed advanced training and certifications in psychosocial oncology, grief and loss, pain and healthcare quality improvement. She is committed to creating a warm, supportive therapeutic space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to improve quality of life and emotional well-being.
