About
Lucia's work is dynamic, effective, and tailored to you. She excels in providing culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurodiverse therapy and specializes in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, and grief. Her work is trauma informed and relational and blends skill building and goal setting with understanding and compassion. Lucia has ADHD, and instinctively understands many aspects of neurodiversity (feel free to talk in your natural flow, she can follow it)! She was a community organizer for many years before becoming a therapist, and uses her strong commitment to her values in her current work. She is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention from the International OCD Foundation's BTTI institute and the Cognitive Behavioral Institute and has experience with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and group therapy while working as a clinician at an intensive outpatient program. She is a daughter of immigrants and can provide therapy in Spanish and English.

Message to clients
My space is open, nonjudgmental, and helps you get to where you’d like to be. In getting to know you, I take stock of the patterns, coping skills, and cycles currently present in your life so that we can figure out which ones are supportive and which ones may be getting in the way of doing what matters to you. Together, we create a road map that actually works for your life. While I provide support and direction, I don’t lose sight of the fact that you are the person in the driving seat. My goal is to get you to a place where you reconnect with your own power and rebuild trust in yourself.
