I've been in social work since 2011, received my MSW from NYU and continued in community based work. I moved into private practice in 2016. My specialities are depression, anxiety, life transitions, sexuality, gender, and polyamory/non monogamy. I do individual and couples work. In session, I'm not a blank slate. I want to collaborate with my client, process together and have an authentic conversation.
I work with people who want to experience more inner peace and less anxiety. While not a requirement, I see long term therapeutic work as the vehicle for building a consistent, stable relationship. My clients have the experience of being known, understood and seen. Through our invested relationship, we can practice new ways of being and bring in new patterns of thought, behavior and feeling. Once trust and knowledge has been built, we'll collaborate on how to better understand and move through pain points in your life. Authenticity. Insight. Humor. I am attuned to how attachments are formed and inform our relational patterns. I am oriented towards a psychodynamic and relational framework, seeing how our pasts hold current positions in our lives. I think softness and resiliency are not in opposition and I hope that our therapy together will uncover our capacity for both. As an active collaborator with my clients. I believe movement begins with a mutual investment in the therapeutic relationship.

Lucy is a talented relational psychodynamic therapist. She is easy to connect with and always works to meet her clients where they are. Lucy's background in crisis work, day programs and group practice set her apart from others with more traditional individual practice experience. She is very well rounded.
I highly recommended Lucy. From working closely with her in the past, I know that she provides an attuned therapy relationship, thinks carefully with clients about their challenges, and invests herself deeply in this work.
Lucy understands the attachment, development and trauma. She works with these three forces through deep relational work. She is guided by psychodynamic theory, while also being completely adaptable to what a client needs. She has specific strength in working with substance use and grief. Her strengths in these areas are unmatched and would bring a client significant relief.
