Marlee Gebhard, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and sex therapist providing trauma-informed care for adults exploring identity, intimacy, and emotional wellbeing. They hold a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor’s of Arts from Lipscomb University, and has completed specialized training in sex therapy (University of Michigan), trauma treatment (University of Tennessee), and Autism Across the Lifespan (Zur Institute). They are a member of AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) and KPACT (Kink and Polyam Aware Chicago Therapists).
Marlee’s specialties include sex therapy, LGBTQ+ affirming care, neurodivergence, anxiety, self-esteem, and patterns of people pleasing and perfectionism. Their integrative approach is relational and strengths-based, informed by feminist and anti-oppressive values, and draws on somatic work, mindfulness, ACT, DBT, and CBT.
They work with adults who are LGBTQ+, asexual or aromantic, neurodivergent, disabled, kinky or involved in BDSM, sex workers, and polyamorous or non-monogamous. They also support individuals who are single and exploring intimacy on their own terms or who wish to expand their understanding of gender, sexuality, and relationships.
Marlee provides virtual therapy to clients in Colorado and Illinois, welcoming anyone who resonates with their approach, even if their identity isn’t specifically listed.
