Maureen McCartney, LMFT, PMH-C, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience counseling individuals and couples. Maureen's career has followed her passion to help women and men cope with the stressors and trauma associated with infertility, pregnancy loss, high risk pregnancies, postpartum anxiety and depression, and new parenthood. She operates what is essentially a boutique psychotherapy practice, working with a limited number of clients at any given time to provide attentive and focused counseling to individuals and couples coping with these specific issues. Maureen's practice is based in San Diego, but she provides online teletherapy to individuals and couples throughout the state of California. The road to becoming a parent during infertility and pregnancy loss can be traumatic and isolating. During therapy sessions, Maureen helps clients gain clarity during this painful time and develop a plan of healing. She brings extensive knowledge and experience to her practice, with specialized postgraduate training in fertility counseling. Maureen is also certified in Perinatal Mental Health, focusing on anxiety, depression, and other perinatal stressors both during the pregnancy and in the months after delivery. Maureen has worked with countless couples to help them regain their connection and strength as they adjust to their new identity as parents.
