About Meredith | She/her

Meredith is a licensed therapist in Colorado and Arizona, who is uniquely trained to support clients from a whole-person perspective. With degrees in both Psychology and Clinical Social Work -as well as a certification in the mind-gut connection- she takes a holistic view, honoring your unique insights and life experiences. After working in community, medical, and clinical settings- Meredith opened Rooted Wellness Counseling in 2020, specializing in helping adults take back control of anxiety , self-esteem, adhd and relationships. Her approach incorporates cognitive techniques (addressing how we think), neuroscience (teaching what we know about the brain), self-compassion (increasing kindness), somatic tools (tuning into our body), and hands-on coping tools (strengthening our ability to self-regulate). Ultimately, Meredith strives to help you build self-trust, heal your relationship with yourself and others, and feel increasingly in control of your life. Meredith is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused and Problem-Solving Therapies, and Integrative Somatic Parts Work. In addition to her work as a therapist, she also runs groups for new clinicians to learn how to run successful and person-centered therapy practices, writes for publications about her specialties (read more on her website: rootedwellnesscounseling.com), and speaks on podcasts and in public settings about the importance of anxiety and self-worth. Meredith's practice is fully telehealth, meaning that she is able to work with clients anywhere in Colorado and Arizona from the comfort of their homes/ offices. All of Meredith's sessions are trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, and she welcomes clients of all identities and abilities.

Message to clients

Welcome- I'm glad you're here! My top priority is creating a space for healing that is free of judgement, full of acceptance, and curated to your needs. I know it can feel really overwhelming when stress and frustrating symptoms start to interrupt our already busy lives. While starting therapy may feel like adding one more thing on your to-do list, often stress and symptom buildup stems from the fact that we haven't been on our list at all or that we haven't found ways to care for ourselves that genuinely work for us. I am most effective at helping people struggling with anxiety symptoms (whether general or health, social, phobia related), adhd difficulties, and those navigating low self-worth or self-esteem. Often, these difficulties overlap and can leave us feeling chronically overwhelmed, not good enough, and like we are constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. This can begin to impact of functioning, sleep, and relationships, but I want you to know that these are difficulties we understand how to address and you do not have to feel this way in your next chapter. Setting aside time to look inward, work through difficulties, and find new paths forward is a beautiful way to say, "I matter" and I would be honored to be a guide in this process.
