Naomi is an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and EMDR Certified Therapist who utilizes an integrative approach to therapy and believes that therapy should be tailored to the specific needs, learning styles, and preferences of her clients. She grounds her work in a relational-cultural, attachment-informed, and intersectional feminist lenses. These lenses help us to understand how sociocultural systems and early relational experiences shape hardships and how these systems and healthy adult relationships can create opportunities to heal, grow in connection with others, and build a stronger sense of identity. Naomi integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), polyvagal theory, and mindfulness practice to help her clients address their concerns. Naomi’s practice centers on helping people work through disconnection in their relationships with themselves and others. She is particularly skilled in addressing concerns related to sexual wellness, relational trauma, caregiver burnout, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. Naomi is queer-identified and proudly supports members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Naomi’s approach to therapy is relational, authentic, and strengths-based: she checks in with clients frequently on how therapy is going, helps identify, develop, and celebrate client strengths, provides a genuine and direct response to what a clients have shared in order to help them deepen their own self-insight, and acknowledges limitations of her expertise, providing other resources or referrals when needed. In her free time, Naomi seizes any opportunities she can to spend time in nature. She also finds joy in laughing as much as possible and cooking food with loved ones.
I understand how challenging it can be to open up to a new therapist, especially when you’ve felt stuck for so long and are unsure of how to begin the process of healing. Having been on both sides—as a client and therapist—I deeply value the importance of creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. My highest intention is to honor your story and help you take meaningful steps toward writing your next chapter. In my years of practicing clinical social work, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings and with individuals from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have reinforced my belief that some of the most powerful healing we can do for ourselves and our communities occurs in the context of relationships. As humans, we are fundamentally wired to connect. We thrive in relationships, drawing strength from shared experiences, values, dreams, and struggles. When we connect with others, we gain wisdom, support, and the ability to co-regulate—helping each other move toward growth. In contrast, isolation can leave us feeling disconnected, unsupported, and unable to tap into the resources we need to face life’s challenges. I believe that healing, especially deep, lasting healing, happens when we come together. My goal as your provider is to foster a healing, attuned, and empowering relationship with you and all of the parts of you that brought you here today. Let me know when you’re ready; I’m here, and I’m listening.
