Samantha brings with her over a decade of experience working with women and families. Her own personal experience as a mother, wife, sister, and daughter drives her passion to support others in their own walks of life, from the teen years through trying to build and maintain a family. Samantha works with individuals who are navigating the perinatal period, trauma from family or past relationships, life transitions, anxiety, and grief or loss. To meet clients in their unique needs, she has continued pursing specialized training beyond her master’s degree in trauma recovery, maternal mental health, and spiritual integration. Samantha desires to cultivate a safe space for all clients to feel seen, heard, and understood in therapy. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful space for change. Samantha approaches therapy from a trauma-informed and relational approach, utilizing narrative, somatic, and parts-work techniques to empower deeper exploration of the past and self in order to give clarity to the present. Samantha considers it a great honor to walk with clients from places of “surviving” to thriving.
When you feel like you are white-knuckling it through life, it can be hard to imagine how to seek support. Maybe you’re a new mom who feels overwhelmed and outside herself. Maybe you are walking through a loss or life transition that leaves you feeling stuck or unable to cope. Or maybe you continue to find yourself caught in painful and self-limiting reactions, patterns, and beliefs. I can help you slow down, acknowledge, and find compassionate support for your very real needs. Our work together will address both the present circumstances and past experiences that have shaped your current reality. As a trauma-informed therapist, my aim is always to create safety and stability, utilizing mind-body techniques to help you cope better with the present and resource you for the deeper work ahead. I also use story-work and parts-work to help you gain understanding from the past and find clarity on how you want to move forward. Together, we will uncover essential needs that have gone unmet, name with truth the painful, formative experiences that deserve healing, and create space for the parts of yourself, historically burdened by certain roles and responsibilities, to live more authentically and supported.
