Dr. Samantha is a stress psychologist and recovering perfectionist in Orlando. She helps ambitious professionals and entrepreneurs calm their nervous system and finally feel good enough. She has spent tens of thousands of hours studying, practicing, and refining her therapy technique. She began providing therapy in 2011 during her doctoral training. She completed her pre-doc internship at a university, where she counseled undergraduate, graduate, and law students. Her post-doc internship was at a group practice where she provided therapy for high-achieving professionals. She has training in mindfulness-based and cognitive therapies, including her chosen method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also has advanced training in ACT for perfectionism and people-pleasing. Having completed her own graduate training and lived in the DC metro area for several years, Dr. Samantha is well aware of the pressures high-achieving millennials face. This has led her to specialize in stress management, anxiety disorders, and self-esteem.
Hey there fellow over-achiever, I'm glad you're here. I know you’re used to solving problems on your own, but isn’t that getting a little exhausting? Let me help. Therapy with me is a place where you can let go of the need to be perfect and explore what it means to be human. You can show up as your whole, messy self (messy bun and all!). My practice is virtual, so you’ll cozy up in your own space, bring your favorite beverage, and even bring your dog if you want to. Wondering what we do in therapy? Most of my clients struggle with a lot of mental chatter and overwhelming emotions that make it hard to do what matters to them, like growing their career or building relationships. I teach tools for unhooking from difficult thoughts and emotions so you can feel grounded and confident creating the life you envision.
