About
Sam Long is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) in Ohio and the founder of Long Therapy Services, a telehealth-only private practice serving adults across the state. He has over a decade of experience working in mental health settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and outpatient therapy.
Sam specializes in working with men navigating life transitions, particularly young adults and professionals facing stress related to school, career decisions, identity changes, relationships, and the pressure to perform or provide. Many of the men he works with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their direction, even when things appear “fine” on the outside.
His therapeutic style is calm, grounded, and practical. Sam helps clients slow down, clarify what they are carrying, and develop realistic tools for managing anxiety, improving focus and motivation, and making intentional life decisions. He draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and strength-based care, tailoring each session to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Sam offers secure online therapy to clients throughout Ohio and provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space for men who want to feel more stable, confident, and purposeful as they move through important stages of life.
