Through years of offering therapy, I’ve concluded that secrets are the root of most of the suffering we experience. The things you think you can’t tell anyone are exactly the things we’ll bring to light in therapy. You aren’t the only one with thoughts you are embarrassed or even ashamed to say out loud. It is a universal affliction called being human. Therapy is largely a journey of self-acceptance and I’ll be your guide along the way. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment therapy. It is the easiest and simplest set of tools and processes I’ve found to help people live the life they want to live. That said, I’ve studied a LOT of areas of knowledge over the years and I’ll offer tools and tidbits from that eclectic bag of magic if it will help ease your journey. We’ll work together to set goals for therapy - we need to know how we will know we are done. I believe therapy should have an end - kind of like school. You come, get what you need, and then go live your life and use what you learned. And just like school, there will be “things” to do in between sessions because practice creates progress. It may seem impossible from where you stand, but I also believe therapy should include some fun, and it usually does. My goal is to make the process as simple, quick, and painless as possible. It would be my honor to walk alongside you in your journey.
