Sibila Jahangiri, MA, is a clinical mental health counselor with a rich international background and a deep commitment to personal and professional growth. Educated and trained in both Europe and the United States, she brings a culturally attuned and integrative perspective to therapy. Sibila holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from an accredited U.S. program and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Bulgaria. Her earlier academic path in Economics and diverse work experience in fields such as finance, marketing, and human rights uniquely inform her understanding of life’s transitions and challenges. Sibila works primarily with adults and couples navigating anxiety, life changes, identity exploration, relationship issues, trauma, and emotional overwhelm. Her therapeutic style is warm, engaged, and experiential. In her work, Sibila gently guides clients into experiential processes that help them feel and integrate change, not just understand it—making healing more lasting and embodied. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and psychodynamic approaches. She also brings in-depth training in Psychodrama and Transactional Analysis, the latter completed under respected European trainers and supervisors from Belgium. Sibila’s own transformative experience as a therapy client deeply informs her work. The healing and growth she experienced inspired her to pay it forward by supporting others on their journeys. She continues to refine her practice through ongoing trainings, supervision, and consultation, and offers virtual therapy to adults located in Virginia.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this alone. Life’s challenges can sometimes leave us feeling anxious, lost, or unsure of our next steps. Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship difficulties, or the weight of past trauma, I offer a compassionate and engaged approach to help you create lasting change. I understand the experience of fear and vulnerability that comes with opening up to someone else, especially when you can’t even fully understand what you’re going through yourself. I’ve been there, and I create a safe space where you can explore those feelings without judgment. As someone who has been deeply transformed through therapy myself, I understand how powerful and healing it can be to have a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can truly be seen and heard. While I am warm, gentle, and attuned to your needs, I also believe in the power of challenge. I won’t sugarcoat things if it means helping you grow. In our work together, we’ll engage your thoughts, emotions, and body, which creates real, lasting change. You’ll gain insights, practical tools, and feel your progress in your everyday life. I believe everyone has the power to change their destiny at any point and become a better version of themselves. It’s normal to need someone to lean on through life’s inevitable darker parts. It is my honor, privilege, and joy to walk alongside you as you rediscover your strength and blossom.
