As a former attorney and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Yael specializes in assisting high-stress professionals, career-changers, and individuals struggling to find balance. Her approach is tailored to each client, drawing from her diverse background and extensive training to address their specific needs and values. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundation, she structures sessions to maximize effectiveness while incorporating humor and common sense. Her goal is to alleviate stress promptly while delving into the root causes for sustainable solutions. With rich experience seeing clients and providing clinical supervision across various demographics and settings, she offers individual therapy for adults in both English and Spanish, grateful for the opportunity to support clients in achieving fulfillment in their lives and relationships.
To anyone who has had to leave friends in the middle of brunch to respond to a last-minute client request, found themselves ill after making hours (and bonus), or spent their vacation responding to document requests staring at a field of sheep in New Zealand, I’m here to help. For those of you who are still struggling with balance and can relate (and have your own version of why it’s so hard to be an overworked/can’t say no/super together professional)--to you I say, “I get it.” Expect that in sessions I’ll be supportive, warm, and casual, while keeping us focused to make progress in treatment. I firmly believe that therapy should be practical, relatable, and tailored to you. Work-life balance is important, but it has to be based in reality. Your reality. And you. My approach integrates evidence-based techniques with common sense, humor, and lived experience, empowering you to assert your needs, find your version of balance, and overcome self-doubt, living in a way that authentically aligns with your values. While I’m intentional in addressing more apparent problems on the surface, I enjoy supporting clients in long-term growth and fulfillment. Together, we'll navigate life's complexities with clarity, resilience, and compassion. A satisfying life takes work. The real question is, “what kind of work?”
